I’ve been using Pixel devices for years, and I’ve always appreciated the way Google approaches smartphones. Pixels always deliver a mix of clean software, clever camera tricks and the confidence that they don’t need to outdo Apple and Samsung when it comes to raw performance.

Earlier this year, I decided to try and write an article with my voicesampling the different dictation software available on iPhones and Google Pixel phones. Both Apple and Google had been hyping up the capabilities of their new dictation software aided by brand new AI models. The results weren’t awful, but they were fairly mixed.
The recently released Pixel 11 Pro faces some stiff competition when it comes to ranking in our best phone of 2026 guide. Even our phones editor Tom Pritchard said you might be better off buying a Pixel 10 Pro. Verizon, however, is offering a deal no Pixel owner should miss.
