President Donald Trump has dismissed concerns about artificial intelligence posing an existential threat to humanity but stressed it was important for the U.S. to “win” the battle for control of the technology with China.
In an email to undergraduates on Wednesday, Harvard College Dean David J. Deming shared his priorities for the coming year, including both the cultivation of a “learning community” and clarification of artificial intelligence policies across the school.
