    Digital Innk promotes new CEO

Automotive technology specialist Digital Innk has announced the promotion of Mohammed Imran (pictured above) from chief operating officer to chief executive officer.

In his new position, Imran will lead the next phase of growth for the organisation, focusing on extending Digital Innk’s technology to more businesses across the automotive industry.

Moving into a board advisory role, Angela Montacute will support the company’s continued development.

The leadership changes follow a period of growth for the business, having now secured new partnerships with fleet operators, repair networks and warranty providers.

Digital Innk will work to help automotive businesses improve efficiency, reduce operating costs and deliver better customer service through its ViSN technology platform.

Imran said: “We’ve made significant progress in recent months, working with more fleets, repair networks and warranty providers that recognise the benefits of using technology to improve the way they operate.

“My priority is to build on that growth and make our technology available to as many businesses across the automotive sector as possible. Too many companies still rely on dated processes and systems that cost them time and money.

“We want to help businesses work more efficiently, reduce costs and provide a better service to their customers. There’s a significant opportunity to achieve that by making the latest technology more accessible and easier to use.”

“I’d like to thank Angela for her leadership over the last six years. During her tenure, the business has evolved, with increased focus on organisational structure, governance and compliance. As we move into the next phase, my priority is to build on these foundations, strengthen operational performance and maintain a clear focus on delivering value for our customers through continued investment in technology and service.”

Ax Motor Assist welcomes new chief digital officer

Vincent Berk has been appointed as chief digital officer of Ax Motor Assist to lead the company’s ongoing digital transformation.

Berk (pictured above) has more than 20 years of technology and software industry experience, having founded USA-based security software company FlowTraq and startup innovation fund Apprentis VC. His most recent position was chief security architect at Keyfactor.

His new role will involve working closely with the executive team to challenge existing processes, identify opportunities and harness connected technologies to drive innovation and enhance driver support. He will focus on optimising the accident management journey, developing digital claims journeys that integrate into insurer and broker digital platforms, while exploring how connected-car technology can be used to support first notification of loss (FNOL) triaging.

Berk said: “I’ve always been an avid fan of cars, so being able to combine my passions and implement my skills into Ax Motor Assist’s processes while helping drivers is a great opportunity.

“In the age of AI, Ax Motor Assist prioritises the human element to its services, combining troves of knowledge with decades’ worth of experience to provide its customers with streamlined, low-stress accident aftercare, making the process as painless as possible for drivers. I’m looking forward to seeing how my own expertise can push Ax Motor Assist further.”

Nick Williams, CEO of Ax Motor Assist, said “Having Vincent on board marks an important step in Ax Motor Assist’s mission to further digitise a journey that we know can be stressful and uncertain following an accident. We are committed to continually evolving our processes so that customers receive the confidence and care they need, when they need it most.”

Interim CEO appointed at Pall-Ex Group

Pall-Ex Group has announced the appointment of Barry Byers as interim group chief executive officer following the departure of former group CEO, Kevin Buchanan.

Stepping into the role as Pall-Ex Group prepares to mark its 30th anniversary, Byers (pictured above) has been with the business since 2019, most recently serving as group chief operating officer. He brings significant experience in delivering service excellence and innovative solutions to accelerate growth.

Byers has also held senior positions at Palletways, Royal Mail and TNT Express.

Commenting on his appointment, Byers said: “I’m delighted to be stepping into the role of interim CEO at Pall-Ex Group, at such a significant time for the business and wider market. Over the last three decades, Pall-Ex has developed an excellent reputation for reliable and innovative palletised freight distribution, as well as an unwavering support for its network members across the UK and Europe.

“My immediate focus is to ensure our customers and members continue to receive the exceptional service they have come to expect over the last 30 years. Building on this solid foundation, we’ll also continue investing in technology that gives our network even more visibility, smarter innovations and real day-to-day advantage—equipping our members with the tools they need to meet today’s industry challenges head-on. I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”

Byers will be joined by founder member and current Pall-Ex Investments board member, Craig Stevens, who will take up the role of Interim Chairman of the Pall-Ex Investments board.
