The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office will soon be unveiling a new smart<a href="https://myappsplus.com/one-text-can-crash-an-android-phone-and-android-12-and-13-wont-get-a-fix/” title=”One text can crash an Android phone, and Android 12 and 13 won’t get a fix”>phone app for the community.
According to the department, development has been underway for several months on the new app. It is meant to give residents a convenient way to access important information, to stay informed, communicate with the department and to access resources available throughout Jennings County.
Among the information available will be the current jail roster and jail information, a map of registered sex offenders, info on sheriff’s sales, forms to request extra patrols and access to local crime statistics. It will provide instant notifications of road closures, emergencies, and other community information. And it will allow you to submit a crime tip online.
The project was made possible through fees collected through the sex offender registry, with no cost to the taxpayers.
The department will be announcing the release of the app on its social media page here: https://www.facebook.com/jenningssheriff
