Lenovo is now offering its Ryzen Z1 Extreme-powered Legion Go S SteamOS gaming handheld for $949.99 shipped when you use promo code DEALDAYSLIVE at checkout. This model originally launched at $900 before jumping up to the $1,580 mark amid the recent price hikes. We saw it drop to $1,000 at Best Buy earlier this month, but today’s offer at Lenovo knocks another $50 off to mark the lowest price we’ve tracked for this particular model in recent months. Deals on gaming handhelds have been much harder to come by lately, and this is easily one of the better offers we’ve seen on the Legion Go S since prices started climbing. Head below for more details.
The Legion Go S highlighted here is one of Lenovo’s more capable gaming handhelds, pairing AMD’s Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It sports an 8-inch 120Hz display that should be a good fit for everything from faster-paced games to more demanding AAA titles on the go. It also has a larger rear fan compared to the previous-gen model to keep thermals under control, and this particular model runs SteamOS for a more console-like experience than the Windows version we previously tested. You can check out our hands-on impressions of that Windows model right here.
If you’d rather get your hands on a gaming laptop, there’s a HyperX OMEN 15 RTX 5060 gaming laptop currently going for $1,199. It sports a 2K 165Hz display and is down from its usual price of $1,900.
