Nintex has introduced Nintex Processes, a new process management product within its platform. The launch is part of a broader push to link process management more closely with automation and AI tools.
The software group said it is seeing rising demand from organisations that want to coordinate work across people, systems, processes and AI while maintaining governance and oversight.
Recent customer additions include large organisations with complex workflows in sectors such as manufacturing, the public sector and financial services. According to Nintex, many businesses moving beyond task-level automation are now looking for ways to manage work across more complex operating environments.
Nintex Processes is designed to connect process knowledge with the workflows, systems, automations and AI-driven user experiences involved in execution. Nintex said this is intended to give organisations a stronger foundation for automation and ongoing process improvement.
The launch builds on a broader platform strategy that has already brought together Nintex Workflows, Apps and Forms with newer products including Orchestration, Agent Designer and Solutions ALM. The aim, Nintex said, is to provide a single environment for organising, governing and deploying workflows that combine rule-based automation with AI.
Tad Finer, Chief Revenue Officer at Nintex, said customers are asking practical questions about how to manage more complex forms of work.
“IT and operations teams globally are looking for a practical path to improving and orchestrating high-consequence processes,” Finer said.
“They’re asking how to coordinate people, systems, processes and AI to achieve business outcomes while maintaining visibility, accountability and control. That’s exactly what Nintex is helping customers do.”
Nintex also pointed to recent recognition from industry analysts. Forrester Research named it a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave: Agentic Process Orchestration Platforms, Q3 2026.
That evaluation said “[Nintex] demonstrates a clear commitment to innovation through a roadmap featuring improvements across process intelligence, workflow, and agentic automation.”
Another analyst, IDC, said the market’s growing focus on AI is increasing the need for stronger process understanding and governance. It added that companies need process knowledge that can connect business intent with operational delivery.
“The growing focus on AI is increasing the importance of understanding and governing how work gets done,” said Neil Ward-Dutton, VP, Agentic Automation and AI Technologies at IDC.
“Organisations need trusted process knowledge that connects business intent with operational execution. Bringing process management closer to automation and orchestration can help create the context and governance needed to scale transformation initiatives effectively.”
The product launch reflects a wider shift in enterprise software as vendors try to connect automation tools with AI systems in a way that offers auditability and control. As companies experiment with AI agents and other forms of intelligent automation, questions around process ownership, visibility and compliance have become more prominent.
Nintex is positioning its platform around what it calls agentic business orchestration, a model that brings together human work, business systems and AI-driven actions. It argues that process management needs to sit closer to workflow execution if organisations are to manage those activities at scale.
The proposition is aimed at organisations with intricate operating models, where work often spans departments and multiple software systems. In those settings, the challenge is less about automating a single task and more about coordinating the full sequence of actions while preserving oversight.
For Nintex, the announcement also signals where customer spending is heading. Businesses that once focused on isolated automation projects are increasingly seeking broader platforms that can manage workflow, process intelligence and AI within a common governance model.
