App uses conversational AI assistant, “Claire,” to provide wellness check-ins, care coordination, and peace of mind without requiring new devices

FREDERICK, Md., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Kindable announces the launch of Loved, a mobile app designed to help families support aging loved ones living independently at home. At the heart of the platform is “Claire,” an AI care assistant who calls seniors every day and engages them in natural conversation, while the app provides caregivers with meaningful updates, wellness trends, and actionable insights – all without requiring new devices.

As millions of U.S. adults care for aging parents and older family members, many struggle to balance their own lives with ensuring their loved ones are safe, healthy, and supported. Loved addresses this challenge, allowing caregivers to stay connected with their aging family members and ease concerns about medication adherence, loneliness, memory decline, safety, day-to-day well-being, and more.

“Loved is more than a care coordination tool – it’s a digital companion that helps seniors thrive at home while giving families confidence that someone is checking in,” said David MacFadyen, Co-Founder, Kindable. “While Claire provides a familiar voice to talk to, she’s not there to replace family or friends. Rather, Claire provides another layer of companionship and support that helps older adults stay independent.”

MacFadyen, 86, is an entrepreneur who has founded several technology companies. He came up with the Loved app to address a growing challenge for himself, his family, and millions of other older adults: How do I stay independent in the home I love as I age?

The need for Loved resonated deeply with Kindable’s founding team, whose members have firsthand experience caring for aging parents and loved ones. Those experiences shaped Loved’s human-first approach – creating technology that meets older adults where they are, eases the burden on family caregivers, and strengthens personal connection.

Unlike other care monitoring solutions, Loved requires no wearable devices, cameras, smartphones, or complicated setup. Instead, Claire simply calls at a scheduled time and engages in a friendly, personalized conversation.

Claire can discuss mood, sleep quality, appetite, medication adherence, well-being, and more. She remembers previous conversations, follows up on concerns, delivers reminders, and provides companionship through meaningful dialogue tailored to each user.

After every conversation, Loved sends a summary to the app’s “care circle” of designated family members and caregivers. The platform tracks wellness trends, helping families identify patterns and changes that may otherwise go unnoticed.

The Loved app also transforms conversations into coordinated action. When a senior mentions needing help, such as arranging transportation or completing household chores, Loved automatically creates and prioritizes tasks within the app. Family members receive notifications and can collaborate to share responsibilities.

“Caring for an aging loved one shouldn’t be a one-person job, but that often becomes the case,” said Steve Flook, Co-Founder, Kindable. “Family members want to help, but they may not know what’s needed, what’s already been handled, or where they can step in. Loved gives families a shared place to coordinate care, divide responsibilities, and stay informed. The goal isn’t just to make caregiving easier; it’s to help families stay involved and connected to the people they love.”

Key Features of the Loved App Include:

    • No devices, apps, or technology required for seniors – just a cell phone or landline
    • Daily AI-powered phone check-ins with seniors
    • Wellness summaries delivered to family members and caregivers
    • Long-term tracking of mood, sleep, medication adherence, and other wellness indicators
    • Automated task creation and care coordination
    • Shared family/caregiver calendar
    • Shared care circles with unlimited family and support members
    • Personalized reminders and follow-up conversations
    • Missed-call alerts for caregivers

The Loved app is now available on iPhone and Android devicesoved.co
