I don’t suppose there are many iPhone users who might be tempted by the <a href="https://myappsplus.com/amazon-drops-the-samsung-galaxy-s26-plus-to-774-in-a-prime-day-deal/” title=”Amazon drops the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus to $774 in a Prime Day deal”>Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 now that the iPhone Duo is both real and coming very soon. But if you’ll entertain a great deal, there are big discounts happening for both the passport-style Z Fold 8 and the slimmer, taller Z Fold 8 Ultra during October Prime Day.
Originally $1,899.99, the Z Fold 8 with 256GB of storage is $1,549.99 at Amazon, or $100 more at Best Buy. This beats the previous best sale price by $100. The Z Fold 8 Ultra, which has better cameras, now starts at $1,699.99 (originally $2,099.99). It’s $150 lower than the previous best price before Prime Day.
The passport-style Z Fold 8 is the closest thing to an iPhone Duo on the Android side, at least in the US. It’s an awesome phone at its biggest discount to date. Read our review.
While not as head-turning of a foldable as Samsung’s Z Fold 8, the Ultra delivers better camera quality. It’s cheaper than ever right now. Read our review.
The Z Fold 8 isn’t the first passport-style foldable, but it’s the most polished so far. Our reviewer Dominic Preston found its small size to be unexpectedly comfortable, and its 4:3 aspect ratio inner screen is great for reading and watching content. The Z Fold 8 Ultra is an iterative upgrade over the Z Fold 7. It has better, well, everything, from its displays and cameras to its chipset and almost-invisible crease. It’s definitely the specs powerhouse of the two foldables.
