Today alongside a big update to Final Cut Camera, Apple is rolling out updated versions of Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Pixelmator Pro, and Freeform. Here’s what’s new.
Apple has announced new features coming to its popular iWork suite—Pages, Keynote, and Numbers—alongside improvements for Pixelmator Pro and Freeform.
Some additions are exclusive to Apple Creator Studio, but select features will be available for all users. Here’s everything new, per Apple Newsroom:
Apple says that today’s updates bring support for Siri AI, so you can ask Siri questions about your documents and get answers. They also enable “the ability to request access to a shared presentation, document, or spreadsheet.” This makes collaboration easier, as the file owner no longer needs to initiate file sharing.
Pages for Mac has a new Screen View, which “optimizes content for reading and focused writing.” And Numbers gets “new trigonometry, statistics, and logic functions for solving complex problems in a spreadsheet.”
Additionally, for Apple Creator Studio subscribers there are new templates and themes available across all three iWork apps. And in Keynote, intelligent slide generation will automatically make images that are tailored to a given presentation.
Pixelmator Pro on iPad adds Select and Mask tools that were previously Mac-exclusive. And both Mac and iPad apps gain two template collections for sports and action-centric projects, plus new templates for “launching a new creative idea, business, or product.”
Additionally, there’s a new Podcasts category for creating cover artwork that’s sized to fit well on major podcast platforms.
Freeform gains several highly requested features. Boards now automatically adapt to Dark Mode, and folders let users organize boards into collections and invite others to collaborate. Writing Tools with Apple Intelligence can rewrite, proofread, and summarize handwritten notes; users can also request access to collaborate on shared files, or automate adding content using Shortcuts. Freeform becomes even more powerful in visionOS 27, letting users pull multiple items from a board — including images, videos, sticky notes, shapes, and 3D models — into their space, and view 3D models together as a group.
