    • In the “Cross-Device Services” settings on Android, the “Continue Activity” feature will finally be officially rolled out starting around mid-September 2026.
    • This update includes the “Task Handoff” feature—which was quietly introduced in the next-generation Android OS, “Android 17,” and allows users to seamlessly continue tasks such as composing emails or browsing web pages across devices—as well as a toggle to enable or disable the ability to access apps, media, and notifications on one Android device from another Android device, a Chromebook, or a Googlebook.
    • For now, the update is rolling out to the “Pixel 11” series, including the “Pixel 11 Pro XL” and “Pixel 11 Pro Fold.”

The “Continue activities” setting under Android’s “Cross-Device Services” has finally started officially rolling out in mid-September 2026.

“Continue activities,” which has begun rolling out on Android, is an ON/OFF toggle for features quietly introduced in the new-generation Android OS “Android 17.” These include “Task Handoff”—a cross-device sharing feature that seamlessly hands over tasks like composing emails or browsing web pages between devices—and the ability to access apps, media, and notifications on one Android device from another Android device, Chromebook, or Googlebook. Turning this ON enables these features as part of “Cross-Device Services.”

It appears that “Continue activities” is currently rolling out starting with the “Pixel 11” series, including the “Pixel 11 Pro XL” and “Pixel 11 Pro Fold.” The rollout is expected to gradually expand to other Android devices running “Android 17” in the future.
