Lenovo’s latest Android tablets bring a ton of performance, seven years of OS updates
These might be the tablets to get if you want to hold on to your slate for years and years.

Lenovo has announced a slew of products at IFA 2026, including new RTX Spark computers and a couple of interesting concepts. However, it also has something up its sleeve if you’re looking for a powerful Android tablet.
Lenovo announced the Yoga Tab Gen 2 and Yoga Tab Plus Gen 2 in Berlin today, and both tablets are positioned as premium, creator-focused slates with pen support. The latter device is the more upmarket product, though, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 13-inch 4K “PureSight Pro” display (144Hz, 1,100 nits of peak brightness).
Other notable Tab Plus Gen 2 hardware specs include 12GB to 16GB of RAM, 256GB to 512GB of expandable storage, a 12,700mAh battery, 68W charging, and six speakers. The tablet also has a 13MP+2MP rear camera pairing and an 8MP+0.3MP front-facing duo.
What about the Yoga Tab Gen 2?
Meanwhile, the standard tablet has a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset and an 11.1-inch 4K display (144Hz, 1,100 nits of peak brightness). The Dimensity 9500s is effectively last year’s Dimensity 9400 Plus flagship SoC, so you’re still getting a very powerful processor.
The standard tablet is also equipped with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage, an 11,00mAh battery with 68W charging, and four speakers. Expect a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP+0.3MP front pairing.
Otherwise, both Yoga Tabs have Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 7, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 data speeds, and support for an optional magnetic keyboard. Both models also bring a smattering of AI-related features.
In a neat move, Lenovo says both tablets run Android 17 and will get seven major Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. The company specifically says these devices will receive Android 24, along with security updates until 2033.
The Lenovo Yoga Tab Gen 2 series will be available this month, starting at $729 for the Yoga Tab Gen 2. Want the Plus model? Then you’ll need to pay at least $999.99.
