We are taking a quick timeout from the ongoing Amazon Labor Day sale today to make sure everyone heard the news – Sony just announced the next State of Play games showcase…two of them, in fact.
State of Play goes live this week
Sony has now revealed that we are in for a double feature State of Play situation this week, first with your standard September main event, and secondly, a State of Play Japan following immediately thereafter.
The back-to-back broadcasts will kick off with a traditional event featuring “updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and” third-party partners, before “concluding with an extended look at the vast world of Final Fantasy VII Revelation from our friends at Square Enix.”
And right after that, Yuki Kaji will take to the virtual stage to hose a State of Play Japan with “deep dives into upcoming games from game studios in Japan and Asia, including new gameplay, announcements, and more.”
Both broadcasts will go live on September 3 starting at 6:00 a.m. PT/9:00 a.m. ET
