In a tongue-in-cheek post on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook shared a video showing Pikachu running around Apple Park during a visit from the Pokémon team. Watch it below.

    Pikachu visits Apple Park

Apple today got a visit from the Pokémon team at Apple Park, and decided to have some fun with it.

In a video shared on X, Tim Cook commented on the visit, joking that the day’s agenda was to introduce the Pokémon team to incoming CEO John Ternus, “talk gaming, and politely ask Pikachu to stay out of the pond.”

“Two out of three were accomplished,” Cook added.

The accompanying video shows Pikachu wandering around Apple Park, trying to reach for an apple under an apple tree, before eventually making its way toward the pond. He’s then joined by Cook, Ternus, and The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara.

Although neither Apple nor The Pokémon Company has released more specific details about today’s visit, the video is rather fun and worth 30 seconds.

Apple’s meeting with The Pokémon Company’s CEO comes just weeks after Sensor Tower reported that mobile gaming revenue declined 4.5% year over year in Q2 2026.

Apple’s meeting with The Pokémon Company comes just weeks after the company acknowledged that weaker mobile gaming performance has begun to weigh on App Store growth.

During its Q3 2026 earnings call, Apple CFO Kevan Parekh specifically cited “headwinds in mobile gaming” as one of the factors affecting App Store performance during the quarter, and you can learn more about that here.
