Pioneer, the maker of many of our favorite CarPlay head units, is expanding into iPhone accessories for the first time. The company has <a href="https://myappsplus.com/apple-wallet-drivers-license-support-just-launched-in-a-new-state/” title=”Apple Wallet driver's license support just launched in a new state”>launched a full lineup of in-car iPhone gear, including a MagSafe wireless charger and phone mount.
Pioneer’s collection of iPhone accessories includes:
- Three new MagSafe vent mounts. There’s a mount-only model, one with MagSafe charging, and another with MagSafe charging plus a built-in cooling fan.
- Dual-port car charger: Your classic in-car dual-port charger with USB-C and USB-A ports.
- USB-C cables: Available in silicone and braided finishes, with support for wired CarPlay.
Pioneer has made great gear over the years, so it’s interesting to see it expand into more traditional iPhone accessories. My go-to recommendation for an in-car USB-C charger is one with a retractable cable. The one I use appears to have been discontinued, but this one from UGREEN is a great alternative.
